Richard Hsu is an intellectual property and technology transactions partner based in Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), California. He advises on the IP aspects of corporate and M&A deals and advising private equity companies that buy and sell IP is a significant part of his practice. Richard works with companies on corporate, licensing, and associated intellectual property issues, and has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating transactions, including acquisitions, asset purchase, licensing, development, and other partnering agreements.
Richard also has considerable experience in intellectual property asset management and licensing, having assisted numerous clients to develop and implement strategies to acquire, protect, enforce, license and commercialize various forms of intellectual property.
Earlier in his career, Richard represented more than 100 venture-backed startup technology companies.
